                HOW TO APPLY
                What is the best way to apply for a job at Applied Materials?

                Create an account and apply directly to any open positions that suit your skills, experience, and interests. For information on how to create an account, click “LOGON SUPPORT.”

                What should I have prepared prior to applying on-line?

                Complete an electronic copy of your résumé to expedite the application submission process. 

                How long will the online application take to complete?

                The process should take less than 5 minutes to complete if you have prepared an electronic copy of your résumé.

                Can I apply to multiple positions?

                Yes, you can apply for multiple job openings, however, you will need to apply to each one separately. We recommend narrowing your choices down to a few jobs that match your skills, experience, and interests. Your résumé can be customized to be job specific.

                Can I attach a résumé/CV in a different language?

                When filling out an online application, we recommend that you fill this out in English. You can also attach a résumé/CV in a local language used where the position is available.

                If I applied to a job by mistake, can I delete my application?

                Yes, you can withdraw your application within your profile.

                How long will my application remain active?

                How long your job application remains active in our database depends upon local country rules.

                How can I find telecommuting positions?

                There isn't a way to search for telecommuting positions. If telecommuting is allowed, it may be stated within the job description.

                I have received communication from Applied Materials. How do I verify that this is a legitimate contact?

                Fraudulent job postings are on the rise. Scammers may pose as Applied Materials’ recruiters and solicit personal information, including banking account details, social security numbers, personal background facts, or even money for "company" devices. Fraudulent job postings will frequently use keywords such as "work from home," "quick money," or "unlimited earning potential." These posts often have spelling and grammatical errors or the associated contacts are personal email accounts (e.g., @yahoo.com, @gmail.com).                 No, our recruiters and managers typically contact applicants via phone or email.  Importantly, applicants should know that our recruiters and managers never ask for bank account information as part of the interview process.

                How do I create my account?

                For the first-time user, locate the position to which you would like to apply.   Then, click “Apply”.   Doing so brings you to Applied’s careers sign in page.  Under the sign in button, click “Create Account”.  On this page, enter your email address and password to register your account.  Your email address will serve as your username going forward.

                Can I change my username?

                No, your username will be your email address.

                What do I do if I forget my password?

                Click on “Forgot Password” on the sign-in page and an email will be sent to you with a temporary password to reset it.

                How do I change my email address?

                Logon to your profile, and then navigate to “View Profile” by clicking on the Cloud icon in the upper right corner of the page. From there, you can click on “Update Contact Information” to change your email address.

                Who is eligible for an internship or co-op opportunity?

                Students currently enrolled in an accredited four-year university and who are pursuing a major that aligns with Applied’s business objectives are eligible.

                What is the duration of internships and co-ops?

                Most internships typically run 8-12 weeks during the summer months and co-op positions typically run 6-8 months. 

                What is the difference between an internship and a co-op?

                An internship refers to full-time summer term employment or part-time employment during the schoolyear. A co-op refers to full-time multi-season employment, aligned with academic terms based on the semester or quarter systems.

                Do you offer part-time jobs to students?

                Yes. On a case-by-case basis, managers may allow summer interns from local schools to continue part-time work during the academic year.

                What do you look for in my résumé?
